Ingredients:
- 500 gm small Potatoes (peeled and well boiled)
- 2 inch Ginger (chopped)
- 3 Tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- ½ tsp Cumin Powder
- 2 Green Cardamoms
- 2 Dry Red Chilli
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 4 tbsp Mustard Oil
- Asafoetida (single pinch)
- Salt to test
Let’s prepare/make Aalur Dam:
- Heat up the oil in a pan for 2½ minutes.
- Fry the potatoes for one minute.
- Mix up all the spices and fry up for 2 minutes.
- Add onion and tomato and fry up for 4 minutes on low fire.
Suggestions: Serve hot with chapatti, puris and launch.
