Carlos Tevez confident and ready for World Cup 2010

Argentina is ready to the World Cup finals but Carlos Tevez is talking up their likelihood of success in world cup 2010 in South Africa.
Argentina is in Group B alongside Korea Republic, Greece and Nigeria and while they will be favorites to win the group, if only because it is a group that the other three will confidently believe they can come second in.
Tevez said: "This is a World Cup. Who can not been motivated when they have this opportunity? In the qualifiers everything was a lot more difficult. Injuries didn't allow me to be fully fit, something that's not the case today. Honestly I feel 10 out of 10. I am a lot more focused than four years ago, I'm preparing myself very much for the first game. Since I got on the plane from England to travel to Argentina and join the group, I have been thinking about the opener against Nigeria."

£50m proposal is waiting to be faxed for Fernando Torres

Fernando Torres is Chelsea's top player this summer. A £50m proposal is waiting to be faxed to Anfield at present but the green light is required by Roman Abramovich. Chelsea is hopeful to use the instability of the beating of Rafa benitez to tempt the Liverpool hierarchy. Chelsea needs to have a top player to strengthen their position as one of Europe's top lists. Despite winning the domestic double of league and FA Cup, Abramovich is still angry at the lack of Chamapions league. Previous season's defeat to Inter Milan was the ultimate embarrassment for the Russion Oligarch as it was Jose Mourinho who rubbed his nose in it by firstly winning equally ties with Inter and then winning the trophy itself. The Chelsea board formally approved the bid for Torres couple of weeks ago but has yet to send it to Liverpool. Roman is likely to be in agreement to the shift but will want to see some return of the expenditure by Chelsea in the form of a lower earnings bill and preferably some transfers fee coming in. Chelsea will propose Michael Ballack a rolling one-year deal. This should placate sponsors adidas who observe Ballack as a major shirt seller in favor of the German national team. Chelsea will also by hopeful that Ballack does not retire from international responsibility for the same cause. Ballack is importance as much for his commercial pull for the Blues than he does for his football skill. With a Didier Drogba / Fernando Torres front two, Anelka will have to fix on a right side come in or a shift away from Chelsea.
